ALEXANDRIA.- Perley H. Sleeper, Republican (post-office address Bristol, R: F. D. 1); born in Bristol, December 1, 1866; educated in district schools and at New Hampton Institution; farmer; married member O. U. A. M.; selectman, 1912-17; member of the House of Representatives of 1915.

ASHLAND.- Tie vote between Rev. Theodosius S. Thyng and Albion Kahler.

BATH.- Edward Woods, Democrat; born in Bath, October 24, 1835 educated at Phillips Exeter Academy and Dartmouth College; lawyer aide-de-camp on staff of Governor James A. Weston; member of the House of Representatives in 1873-74 and of the State Senate in 1893 served as county solicitor and has held all town offices. 

BENTON.- Lebina H. Parker, Democrat (post-office address, Woodsville, R. F. D.,2); born in Benton, November 8, 1855, and educated there; farmer and summer hotel, keeper; Christian Scientist; Mason, lodge and chapter, and Odd Fellow; delegate to the Constitutional Conventions of 1902 and 1912, four sessions a. member of the Legislature, thirty-four years selectman, moderator since 1900, etc.

BETHLEHEM.- Walter H. Clark, Democrat; educated at Lisbon and at Lancaster Academy; druggist; married; Protestant; Mason; precinct and water commissioner, member of the House of Representatives of 1917.

BRIDGE WATER.- Voted not to send a delegate to the convention.

BRISTOL.- John R. Connor,  Republican; born in Andover, October 13, 1840; educated at New England Christian Institute, now Proctor Academy, Andover; retired after forty-one years as a railroad employee; Liberal in religious belief; married, two children; Mason and Odd Fellow; has been auditor, supervisor and six years selectman.

CAMPTON.- Willard C. Pulsifer, Republican (post-office address, Plymouth, R. F. D. 5); born in Campton, May 11, 1858; educated in town schools and Kimball Union Academy; farmer; Congregationalist, married, two sons; member of Grange and County Farm Bureau; has been selectman, road agent and supervisor

CANAAN.- James B. Wallace, Republican; born in Canaan, August 14, 1866; educated at St. Johnsbury Academy, New Hampshire College, Dartmouth College, class of 1887, and Columbia Law School; lawyer; Congregationalist; married; 32d degree Mason, Knight Templar and Shriner, Knight of Pythias and D. O. K. K., Elk and Patron of Husbandry; member of House of Representatives of 1909, State Senate of 1913, Executive Council of 1915, judge of police court, member of school board, library trustee, trustee of trust funds, moderator.

DORCHESTER.- Azro H. Schoolcraft, Republican (post-office address, Cheever); born in Hyde Park, Vt., December 30, 1856; educated there and at Lowell, Mass.; farmer, formerly cotton manufacturer; Baptist; married, four sons; served five years in the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia; Mason, Odd Fellow and Patron of Husbandry; in Lowell, Mass., served as a precinct officer and on the school board; now serving eighteenth year as tax collector of Dorchester; also, health officer.

EASTON.- Charles A. Young, Democrat; born in Easton, March, 7, 1858; educated in town schools. and at New Hampton Institution; lumber and bobbin manufacturer; Liberal in religious views; married, one child; delegate to the Constitutional Conventions of 1902 and 1912; member of the House of Representatives of 1905, eighteen years chairman of, the board of selectmen, town clerk nine. years, many, years postmaster.

ELLSWORTH.- Henry B. Keniston, Democrat (post-office address, Rumney); born in Campton, January 40, 1866; common school education; farmer; unmarried; has been chairman of the board of selectmen, member of the House of Representatives of 1915.

ENFIELD.- Joseph B. Perley, Republican (post-office address, Lebanon) ; born in Vermont, January 26, 1881; educated at Brewster Free Academy, Dartmouth College and Brown University; cattle dealer; Congregationalist; married, son and daughter; Mason; member of the House of Representatives, 1911 and 1913, State Senator, 1917; director of the People's Trust Company, Lebanon.

FRANCONIA.- Philip Wheelock Ayres, Progressive; born in Winterset, Iowa, May 26, 1861; educated at Cornell University, 1884 Johns Hopkins University, 1888, Cornell Forest School, 1900; forester Society for Protection of New Hampshire Forests; married, two children; member of the Appalachian Mountain Club.

GRAFTON.- Fred Gage, Republican; born at Enfield, August 29, 1862; town school education; farmer, livery stable keeper, wood and lumber dealer; Universalist; married, two children; Mason and Granger; moderator and town treasurer.

GROTON.- Willard H. Hunkins, Republican; born in Groton, February 12, 1866; educated at Bristol; farmer; Congregationalist; married, three children; Patron of Husbandry has been representative in the Legislature and held, various town offices.

HANOVER.- Edwin J. Bartlett, Republican; born in Hudson, Ohio, February 16, 1851; educated at Dartmouth College and Rush Medical College; professor in Dartmouth College; Congregationalist; married, four children; fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, member of the Graduate Club, Hanover, Ouriboros Club, American Chemical Society, N. H. Historical Society, N. H. Medical Society (honorary) ; has been moderator of the town of Hanover, member of the House of Representatives in 1913.

For second delegate from the town of Hanover the vote was declare a tie between Horace F. Hoyt and Prof. Frank A. Updyke.

HAVERHILL.- Luther C. Butler, Republican (post-office address, Woodsville); born in Woodsville, July 30, 1871; educated there and at Mount Hermon School; grain and implement dealer; Congregationalist; married; Odd Fellow; commissioner of Woodsville fire district member of the House of Representatives of 1917.

William E. Lawrence, Republican (post-office address, North Haverhill) ; born in Eden, Vt., August 1, 1871; educated at the University of Vermont and Baltimore Medical College; physician; Liberal in religious belief; married, one child; Mason, lodge and chapter; thirteen years member of school board; delegate to Constitutional Convention of 1912, member of House of Representatives, 1913, trustee of state institutions, 1915-17.

Herbert Eldredge Smith, Republican (post-office address, Pike); born in Rutland, Vt., August 16,1881; educated at Haverhill Academy; treasurer acid general manager of the Pike Manufacturing Company; Congregationalist; married, one son; Mason, lodge and chapter member Old Colony Club; present member of the board of selectmen of Haverhill.

LANDAFF.- Charles E. Noyes, Democrat (post-office address, Lisbon); born in Landaff, July 25, 1866; educated at Tilton Seminary and Tufts College; lumber manufacturer; Protestant; married, one child; Mason, Knight Templar, Eastern Star, Delta Upsilon fraternity; member of school board, for several years selectman.

LEBANON.- Frank U. Bell, Republican; born in Lebanon' in 1869; educated at the University of Florida; manufacturer; Mason; married, one child; has served as captain in the New Hampshire National Guard; president of the Lebanon Board of Trade.

MONROE.- Daniel R. Gilchrist, Republican; born in Barnet, Vt., April 4, 1843; educated at McIndoes, Vt., Academy; merchant and farmer; Presbyterian; married, six children; served four years in the Civil War; member of the G. A. R., Grange and Odd Fellows; delegate to Constitutional Convention of 1912, has been selectman, census enumerator and representative to General Court.

ORANGE.- Frank H. Wendell, Republican (post-office address Canaan, R. Y. D. 2); born in Woburn, Mass., November 30, 1847; educated there; manufacturing chemist; Methodist; married, seven children; president, Mascoma Valley Fish and Game Association; seven years councilman at Fairview, New Jersey; selectman and school board member at Orange.

ORFORD.- Alvah M. Stevens, Republican; born in Orford, July 16, 1860; educated in town schools; farmer and lumberman; married, or daughter, three sons; Congregationalist; Mason and Patron of Husbandry; has been selectman, road agent, member of House of Representatives of 1913.

PIERMONT.- Orlo Eugene Barnard, Republican; born in Waitsfield, Vt., June 26, 1882; educated at St. Albans, Vt., High School and University of Vermont, A. B. 1908; Congregational clergyman; married, two children; Patron of Husbandry and Odd Fellow; formerly superintendent of schools at Island Pond, Vt.

Wentworth, Republican; born in Moultonborough, June 6, 1867; educated at New Hampton Literary Institution and the University of Michigan; lawyer; Protestant; married, one son;, 33d degree Mason; has been member of the Legislature and Constitutional Convention delegate and has held various town offices.

RUMNEY.- Edward A. Elliott, Republican; born in Rumney, June 24, 1865; educated there and at New Hampton; crutch manufacture Protestant; married, one daughter; Odd Fellow; judge of municipal court, overseer of the poor, road agent, selectman five years, chairman, three, member of the Legislature of 1909.

THORNTON:- John F. Merrill, Democrat (post-office address, Campton R. F. D. 1) born in Thornton in 1865 and educated there; farmer; Odd Fellow; has held various town offices and was a member of the House of Representatives of 1897, serving on the committee on retrenchment and reform.
